QC Inspector

Position Summary

The QC Inspector will be required to comprehend specifications to determine inspection procedures and equipment to be used. The candidate must be able to set up and calibrate equipment, conduct inspection using the relevant equipment, compare results with specifications/acceptance criteria and record inspection data, confer with other or QC technicians and production personnel.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL

-Responsible for performing inspections on materials, products, assemblies, sub-assemblies using precision tools for internal and external suppliers.
-Ability to read drawings, comprehend specifications and tolerances and Interpret inspection results
-Demonstrate advanced ability to perform inspection and visual verifications of fabricated and machined parts to acceptance criteria.
-Uses measurement, test equipment and functional gages to determine if product meets all stated requirements.
-Liaise with suppliers as required to ensure good product, documentation and service quality is maintained.
-Follow and maintain inspection plans per drawing requirements,
-Displays advanced professional communication and interpersonal skills when exchanging information with peers and supervisors.
-Often serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems.
-Follow existing working procedures, practices and systems.
-Assist in developing and modifying existing procedures and, work instructions as required.
-Ensure in date calibrated measuring equipment is used for performing inspection.
-Knowledge of GD&T

REQUIRED
-Minimum of 2-3 years combined inspection experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
